About me My name is Ashiq(Ah-shek).I am now seventeen years old (Wow, has it really been that long!?)Inside, I think I'm a nice guy. I have a good sense of humor. I'm pretty smart when I put my mind to something.I'm easy to get along with and I'm a lot of fun once you get to know me. (Yeah, people just LOVE me!) Something's I don't like about myself.I'm not as outgoing as I used to be.(definitely gonna have to fix that). I want to change the way I look (face it, people get first impressions as soon as they look at you). I don't have a very good image of myself (I think I was cute when I was younger, but then don't we all?). Sometimes I look in the mirror and wonder if that's really me? What sets me apart from everyone else is ethnic background. My parents come from Bangladesh (That small country east of India). You don't see many people from there. Most people think I'm Indian, but they're wrong. I personally think the cultures differ not to mention the religious beliefs. Bangladesh is about 90% Muslims. Hey check out my last name. People think I'm related to Saddam Hussein (If I was I'd send a scud up their butt everytime I'm asked that question �:-D). I think the majority of Americans have a bad impression of Muslims (That's over a billion people now) and don't have an appreciation for South Asian culture (Look at how many television shows poke fun at the culture). Personally I think its ignorance. Well enough about that. I have high goals in the future. I want to be a doctor. Not a physician, but a researcher. I think physicians have routine lives (I think that could get boring.) I like challenges, and really like attempting to solve problems. (What is it Confucius said? "Pick a career you love, and you'll never work again.)The special things I do for my parents is to make sure I make each and every day a living hell for them. (I think it's the duty of every American teenager to make his or her parent's life a living hell.) Hey, it gives them something to do out of their routine lives. All kidding aside, I think my parents are cool even though they're strict. They put up with me for seventeen years. Now that's special. My Dad's the cool one though. I can go tell my Dad practically everything. I can go to my dad and tell him the world's gonna end in an hour and it's all my fault. He wouldn't flinch. He'd take it calmly and then find some kind of outrageous solution. Usually the solutions work. �:-D)My parents instilled very high values into me. I think that makes me a better person overall. I'm not a strict Muslim who follows every rule to the letter ( Come to think of it, I don't know half of the rules.) I'm kind of passive. I'm supposed to pray five times a day. Actually I pray five times a week. ( My theory is 85% of my generation's going to hell anyway. Hey I have a first class ticket. I'm probably gonna be bunk buddies with Satan. I get the top bunk though �:-D) I don't drink, do drugs or kill people. I just listen to my conscience (which is 100% accurate.I've taken on a lot more responsibility and my parents rely on me more than before. (Hey, they actually believe what I say now. They never used to do that before) They actually trust me. (Scary isn't it?)If I had three wishes, I'd have to start off with getting rid of all the ills of mankind ( I'd like to see a Genie pull that off). When I say ills, I mean hunger, disease, poverty, insane world dictators, and the evil seed in man. The second wish would be I want to talk to GOD. I have several questions, such as "What is the meaning of life?", "Where did you come from?", "Why is the sky blue?" and things of that nature. My third wish would be to become a semi-omnipotent secret agent man. It would make my life exciting.(I think that's an understatement). I always wanted to save the world. This would be my big chance. I want make a super villain's life a living hell. (I believe it's the duty of every semi-omnipotent secret agent man to make his super villain's life a living hell �:-D) As an added bonus I'd be able to pull off reality defying stunts and get the girl in the end.In my future I (I'm calling my psychic hotline) I see one of four possibilities. One I become a corrupt ambassador for America to Bangladesh and get money from everyone. Two I go on a quest for world domination and ultimately take over the world. Three, I become the first man to go to Mars (It would be my big chance to get away from it all �:-D). Four I'll become a Doctor, and do some scientific research. Maybe I'll find something that will benefit all of mankind. TheThe most I want out of life is to be remembered by future generations till the end of time. (And beyond) I would describe myself to be an intelligent, insane person with a sense of humor. Important things to remember about me, I like being the center of attention and I am as intelligent as I am crazy. Three words that would describe me best would be "The crazy, cool smart-ass." | ||
